                                  And the winner is ...

Infinithéâtre is pleased to announce that the winner of this year's Write-On-Q! script writing competition is Alyson Grant, for her play, TRENCH PATTERNS.  Alyson takes home the $1,000 Pam Dunn Prize for her submission and will receive a public reading of her script in The Pipeline on December 10th, 2011 at the Bain St-Michel (5300, rue St-Dominique) at 7 PM.

This year's jury felt a second play deserved recognition as a runner-up and awarded Mike Czuba a $500 prize for his play, REPRISE.

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all the playwrights who submitted their work to the 2011 Write-On-Q!

Every year Infinithéâtre looks for innovative, challenging and exciting new works by Québec playwrights. A jury of professionals chooses the winner of the Pam Dunn Prize ($1,000) from plays submitted before the September deadline.

The winning script, as well as two or three additional plays, comprise the line-up of the annual reading series, The Pipeline, an animated weekend of free public play readings. Infinithéâtre takes its cue from the audience at talkbacks following each event, an open forum with the playwrights and actors that provides valuable feedback for future programming and script rewrites.

Infinithéâtre’s 2009-10 season consisted entirely of “Write-On-Q” submissions!

The deadline for next year's Write-On-Q! is September 4th, 2012.
