Our Teen Playwriting Competition for writers ages 13-19

WRITE NOW! is Infinithéâtre’s annual playwriting competition of short, original plays by writers ages 13-19. We offer mentorship, dramaturgical feedback, and a staged reading with professional actors to all short-listed plays, as well as a $500 cash prize to the winning entry. 

WRITE NOW! plays a critical role in training and supporting upcoming creators in Québec; unlike other youth playwriting competitions, it provides playwrights with ongoing development and support, helping to steward their works off the page.

Calls for submissions take place every spring, with selected playwrights receiving development support over the summer. WRITE NOW! ends with a public staged reading, Park N’ Play, at the end of September.
